Will the Green Bay
Packers sign Collin Kaepernick now that Aaron Rodgers has suffered a
broken collarbone? According to the Packers roster on NFL.com the
only quarterbacks on the team are Rodgers and Brett Hundley.
Hundley is a third
year player who had thrown 3 NFL passes coming into the Vikings game
where Rodgers was hurt. Collin Kaepernick started the whole kneeling
during the anthem protest last year and has not been signed by a NFL
team since his release by the 49ers.
I don't like
Kaepernock's politics because he supports Fidel Castro but I respect
his right to protest. That being said NFL teams have a right to not
sign players who cause them bad publicity. Free Speech really means
freedom to criticize the government without fear of imprisonment, not
to protect you from employers.
That being said
Collin Kaepernick could start for a handful of NFL teams and would be
the best choice at backup on most of them. The Packers are the only
NFL team without an owner, they are owned by the city and its a
football crazy city.
I think the Packers
should bring in Collin Kaepernick for a workout at the very least. I
think Packers fans would overlook his dislike of the country if he
came in and won some games for the Packers Kaepernick isn't highly
accurate but he does not turn the ball over too often as well. The
Packers have better skill players than the 49ers did last year as
well.
